Treatment Time Line:
6 to 8 weeks depending on the needle size.
The objective of collagen induction therapy (CIT) is to build up the connective tissue in the lower skin layers (dermal layers) while keeping the protective layers of the skin (epidermal layers) intact. Small needles of derma roller penetrate into the skin and break: up old collagen strands and stimulate the production of elastin fibers from the deep layers of the dermis to the surface. The result is smoother, thicker, tighter, more evenly-toned skin. CIT can penetrate the skin anywhere from 0.5 mm to2mm depending on the depth of the skin condition needing remediation. CIT is the only skin rejuvenation treatment to target and regulate three key skin cells (keratinocyte, melanocyte, and fibroblast) without compromising the integrity of the epidermis. At Le Hammam medical spa in Oakville, we increase collagen production further by the use of Osmosis Pure Medical Skin Care products, such as Catalyst, Stem Factor, Renew, Correct and/or Calm…
If using longer than 0.5mm roller needles, the treatment can be slightly uncomfortable for some people, that’s why at Le Hammam medical spa in Oakville, we recommend applying numbing cream before treatment.
